A Conceptual Analysis on Non-Violence Following M.K Gandhi

Author Name : Dr. Dipanwita Chakraborty

ABSTRACT Exploring Gandhi's theory of truth leads us to his perspective on the essence of non-violence. Considering non violence and truth are so closely linked that it is nearly impossible to separate them he realized that non-violence serves as the means, while truth represents the ultimate goal. The means we choose should always be accessible to us, establishing non-violence as our utmost obligation. By focusing on the means, we are destined to achieve the end eventually. Gandhi highlighted the positive aspect of Ahimsa or non-violence, which he referred to as love. He asserted that violence can never benefit humanity. So, violence must be entirely renounced in global matters, which is feasible when love and non-violence become the guiding principles of human life.
