A Conceptual Rejuvenation of Green Chemistry Approach: A Mini Review

ABSTRACT

Green chemistry being the benign chemistry design chemicals in such a way that decreases production of harmful substances or tailor the synthetic ways to convert hazardous substances into useful/harmless form.The way of achieving goals set under principles of this chemistry helps us to achievethe desired goal by minimizing toxicity of chemicals result in eco-friendly synthetic pathways with less toxic substance used.Chemists choose other approaches in order to synthesis the organic molecules both in laboratories and industries. Today it is highly encouraged to use solvents, reagents and methodologies which are greenerand go hand in hand withenvironmental matters. The treatment to waste material paved the way for the advancement of novel green strategies. In this review, the importance and applicability of Green Chemistry is explored on each level whether it is an element, compound or reaction, the subject of green chemistry has its own way to deal with the problems which the environment of this planet earth is facing nowadays. Moreover, here the focus is on few principles like that of solvent free reactions, prevention from producing waste and atom economy. Also, a persuasion regarding the conversion of some pollutants into useful and purposeful compounds has been elaborated.
