A Conceptual Study on Process Management in Supply Chain Industry

Author Name : Dr. Raja Priya, Mr. R. Divakaran

ABSTRACT

The supply chain sector is a dynamic, multifaceted ecosystem that encompasses a wide range of activities from raw material suppliers to final consumers. Ensuring the seamless movement of goods and information, reducing interruptions, and optimizing efficiency across the supply chain are all dependent on effective process management. The purpose of this conceptual study is to investigate the core ideas, tactics, and industry best practices related to process management in the supply chain sector.

The abstract will examine the fundamental ideas of process management and emphasize its importance when it comes to supply chain management. It will look at the main procedures that make up the supply chain. Furthermore, the research will investigate the difficulties and intricacies involved in overseeing these procedures throughout various organizations and regions. Additionally, the study will explore the challenges and complexities inherent in managing these processes across multiple entities and geographies.

In addition, the abstract will present the idea of process optimization, which entails detecting inefficiencies, redundancies, and bottlenecks in supply chain operations. It will go over several approaches and instruments used in process analysis, including simulation methods, process modelling, and value stream mapping. With the use of these technologies, businesses can better perceive, comprehend, and manage their operations which boost productivity, lowers costs, and increases customer satisfaction.

The abstract will also delve into the role of technology in facilitating effective process management within the supply chain sector. It will explore the applications of technologies such as ERP systems, SCM software, IoT devices, and advanced analytics in streamlining processes, enabling real-time visibility, and supporting decision-making through data.
