ABSTRACT:Background: Prakriti is a fundamental feature of Ayurveda. It is enumeration of body features internal as well as external. In short Prakriti means nature of individual. It is important concepts and has role in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. A pH is used to specify basicity or acidity in an aqueous solution. A pH scale measures the hydrogen ion concentration in a given solution. The blood plasma pH depends on CO2, electrolyte and weak acid concentrations. It should ideally be maintained between the pH range of 7.38 to 7.42. This study is done to find out if there is any changes in plasma pH according to Prakriti. As if Pitta Prakriti dominant individual's plasma pH is slightly acidic than others or not and Kapha Vata Prakriti individual's plasma pH is slightly alkaline or not. To avoid diseases caused due to Prakop of specific Doshas in those individuals. Aim and Objectives: This study aimed to study the relationship between Prakriti and Blood Plasma pH. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted on female individuals of our institute and its periphery. Total 30 female individuals were assessed for Blood Plasma pH by pH test Strips. Prakriti Parikshan done with the help of MUHS Proforma.
