ABSTRACT Itopride hydrochloride is a gastroprokinetic agent widely used in the management of functional gastrointestinal disorders such as dyspepsia and delayed gastric emptying. It combines dopamine D2 receptor antagonistic action with acetylcholinesterase inhibition, enhancing gastrointestinal motility without affecting the central nervous system.
