A Review on Current Medical Brain Imaging Modalities

ABSTRACT  Segmentation is extracting the information of a particular object from an image. Image segmentation plays a vitall role in many medical-imaging applications. This paper makes a summary of the segmentation methods that have been applied so far. The segmentation methods can be classified in different ways on the basis of approaches adopted and the area of the image that the approach works on. The discussion aims to introduce the recent segmentation methods used in biomedical image processing.
