A Review on Joining of FDM 3D printed Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) parts using Friction Stir Welding

Author Name : Pavito V Yepthomi, Prof. S S Dhami

ABSTRACT Friction stir welding is a popular solid state joining method which is not only used to join metals and alloys but also for joining various thermoplastics. This literature review provides a concise review on the current research concerning the joining of FDM 3D-printed Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) parts using Friction Stir Welding (FSW). The review includes information about process parameters, joint quality and mechanical properties of friction stir welded joints.
