It is recognized for its rich nutritional profile, particularly its exceptionally high vitamin C content, along with polyphenols, flavonoids, tannins, and minerals. These bioactive constituents contribute to a wide range of pharmacological activities including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antidiabetic, hepatoprotective, cardioprotective, immunomodulatory, and anticancer effects. Amla has been traditionally employed in the management of digestive disorders, respiratory ailments, diabetes, skin diseases, and aging-related conditions.
