The causative agent of tuberculosis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, is presently responsible for the disease, which affects almost one-third of the global population . The World Health Organisation (WHO) has created a brand-new method for controlling tuberculosis called DOTS (directly observed therapy, short-course), which involves administering a particular mix of anti-TB medications.
