A Review on Quantification of 5-Fluorouracilin Its Bulk and Pharmaceutical Dosage Form By Various Analytical Methods
Author Name : Priyanka J. Kankhar*, Bhushan P. Wagh, Shivani R. Solanki
ABSTRACT
5-Fluorouracil is a pyrimidine derivative that inhibits thymidylate syntheses in an irreversible manner. The synthesis of thymidylate, which is essential for DNA synthesis, is inhibited. It has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for cancer monotherapy treatment. According to a literature review, several HPLC assay methods were used to track 5-Fluorouracil, such as UV-Spectroscopic, Bioanalytical Method Production of Brexpiprazole by UPLC-MS/MS, Analytical Method Development of 5-Fluorouracil by HPLC in that RP-HPLC Stability Suggesting Assay Method, UV - Visible Spectroscopic and HILIC method (hydrophilic interaction). The proposed method's selectivity, precision, linearity, and accuracy were all checked. Both of the validation parameters were within reasonable limits. There have been several methods for determining 5-Fluorouracil.
