ABSTRACT This study examines the livelihood of street vendors in Subrahmanya village, focusing on their economic activities, social conditions, and challenges. Street vending is a vital source of income for many residents, especially in a village known for its religious tourism centered around the famous Kukke Shri Subrahmanya Temple. Through surveys, interviews, and field observations, the study identifies key issues such as lack of proper vending spaces, limited access to financial support, and regulatory challenges. It also highlights the resilience and entrepreneurial spirit of the vendors, who adapt to the fluctuating demands of pilgrims and tourists. The findings suggest that supportive measures, including better infrastructure and policy interventions, are crucial for improving the livelihood security of street vendors in Subrahmanya village.
