A Study on Consumer Preference towards Purchasing a Smart Watch with Special Reference to Tirupur City

ABSTRACT The smartwatch industry has experienced rapid growth, transforming from a simple timekeeping device to an advanced wearable gadget offering multiple functionalities. This study explores consumer preferences toward purchasing smartwatches, with a special focus on Tirupur city. Key factors influencing consumer choices include health and fitness tracking, battery life, design, pricing, and brand reputation. The study highlights the increasing role of social media and online reviews in shaping consumer decisions. Findings indicate that affordability plays a crucial role in brand preference, with budget-conscious consumers favoring brands like Boat and Noise, while premium buyers opt for Apple and Samsung due to their advanced features and seamless ecosystem.
