A Study on Human Resource Information System

The objective of this study is to examine the effectiveness of implementation of human resource information systems on time efficiency, cost efficiency, quality of information, and managerial satisfaction. HRIS is a human resource management tool that enables an organization to design and manage a comprehensive human resource strategy through information technology. HR information system has to identify potential employees. Over the last two decades Human resource management has brought new trends and new solutions to problems on the field.One of the solutions is human resource information system which is playing a critical role in HRM of any company or business. In this report, human resource information system has potential to the mechanism by which organization monitor and deploy their personnel in order to obtain competitive advantage. The HRIS is designed to support the planning, administration, decision making and control of human resource management. This study is an attempt to provide theoretical analysis of the HRIS implementation. These information increase administrative efficiency and produce reports capable of improving decision-making. The methodology adopted to carry out this study is by using questionnaire and statistical tools used for analysis were simple percentages. The result is interpreted and presented in the form of tables and charts. KEY WORDS: HRIS, HR information, Information technology
