Author Name : Rajnish Yadav , Charu Bisaria
ABSTRACT India, in-spites of slow growth during initial three decades of post-independence, has picked up an unprecedented growth in Private as well as in Defense Aviation sector. To sustain and maintain the further growth, India has been focusing continuously on the requisite latest applicable technologies, modern industries, nurturing of scientists, engineers and the educational institutions. By taking the cognizance of the ever increasing demand of air travel as a result of widening middle class demography, emergence of business hub like Information Technology (IT) at Bengaluru & Chennai, Manufacturing & IT at Delhi and Finance (Mumbai) is expected to boost the air travel of business leading to increase the economy of the country. Government of India (GOI) has relaxed in its existing aviation policies by exempting of 100% taxes for 10 years and also allowed 100% foreign direct investment (FDI) for the Greenfield and 74% for the Brownfield projects under automatic route. This has resulted into the becoming of aviation hub across the globe which will also enhance the economy of the country.
