ABSTRACT
Soil reinforcement technique has been gaining momentum in the construction of various civil engineering projects since its dawn. The construction of reinforced soil structure involves the use of fill material and resists the developed tensile stress and strains which would otherwise cause the unreinforced fill to fail. Over the past three decades, there has been a wide increase in the use of Geosynthetics to reinforce soil mass in the construction of reinforced earth retaining walls, reinforced slopes, embankments on soft soils, engineered landfills etc. The stability of the reinforced soil structures depends on the promising interaction between the reinforcement and the backfill material. In this present study, we have considered Granite Rock Flour as the effective fill material in the construction of reinforced earth Retaining walls and sand as the back fill. For designing the reinforced wall and to check the stability analysis of slopes with varying backfill heights of 4 m, 6 m, 8 m. In this paper, it has found that the varying backfillsheights for the stability analysis check have satisfied every failure parameter that has been considered in the ongoing study.
