ABSTRACT A Pre-eperimental study to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding stem cell banking among newly married couples in selected hospital at tirunelveli district by using non-probability purposive sampling technique. Structured knowledge questionnaire was used to assess the pre-test and post-test knowledge level. The study concludes that the effectiveness of structured teaching programme was statistically increased for post-test mean(18 ) SD (3.3) than pre-test mean (7.4) SD (2.7) with‘t’ value 17.2 which is significant at 0.05 level among newly married couples in selected hospital at tirunelveli district.
