Gestational Diabetes Mellitus is a condition that refers tohaving high blood glucose levels during pregnancy which is usually seen inthe 2nd and late trimester during pregnancy as a consequence of the body’s inability to make and use all the insulin it needs during the gestation period. The result revealed that the score was found higher mean (11.72) and SD (2.54) with pre-test mean score (9.56) and SD (3.34) in the control group and in the experimental group the score was found higher mean (16.72) and SD (5.86)  with pre-test mean score(10.08) and SD (2.10). The calculated ‘t’value was 6.172 which was more than the tabulated value of 2.6 at a 0.05 level of significance and findings show that there was no significant association found between the pre-test knowledge score and their selected demographic variables.
