Achievement Motivation of Slum Children in Relation to their Gender and Parental Education

ABSTRACT
Achievement Motivation is really an important element of aspiration, efforts, and determination when an individual is worried about some requirement of quality. Pupils are affecting by a requirement to attain. This triggers them to desire to be successful at what they really try. Each and every student is impacted at a different level. In the case of some pupils, the wants to achieve overwhelms other additional factors that may make reason of loss, such as inadequate abilities, absence of experience, or paucity of time has the pupils are affected by the need to achieve this. It activates them to really want to succeed in what they're trying to do. Each pupil has different levels of impact. In the case of slum students, they have faced many problems to achieve a successful education in which achievement motivation is affected. The piece of research has investigated whether really achievement motivation has differed on the basis of individual variables (parental education and gender). The researcher has used a descriptive study and a sample size of 100. A stratified random sampling method was used to selection of samples. A questionnaire for students was used for the collection of data. Quantitative statistical techniques had applied to analyse data. Results of this study revealed that parental education had played a major role in students' achievement motivation.
