An Ecological Assessment of Blue-green Algae from Madhepura District

ABSTRACT
A survey was conducted in rice fields of Madhepura district. Algal samples were collected from each fields soil samples were also collected from five sports of each fields. Blue green algae from each field were identified. Distribution pattern of Blue-green Algae was also studied. All together 27 species belonging to 11 genera were recorded. Soil pH, texture, organic carbon and available phosphorous was also recorded.
