“Analytical Method Development and Validation of Pidotimod by UV Spectroscopy & HPLC Method”

ABSTRACT Pidotimod, a synthetic dipeptide with immunostimulant properties, is extensively utilized to enhance the immune response in immunocompromised patients and treat recurrent infections. Despite its clinical significance, there is a scarcity of comprehensive analytical methods for its precise quantification in bulk and dosage forms. This study focuses on the development and validation of novel analytical methods for Pidotimod determination using UV spectroscopy and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).UV spectroscopy offers a straightforward, cost-effective, and rapid approach for the initial screening and quantification of Pidotimod. For more robust and precise analysis, HPLC was employed due to its high sensitivity, specificity, and ability to separate Pidotimod from potential impurities and degradation products.
