“Analyzing Sodium and Potassium Levels in Groundwater from the Kishangarh Block of Alwar (Rajasthan) District Using a Flame Photometer”

Author Name : Reena Verma, Dr. Vijay Singh Yadav

ABSTRACT

It appears you're summarizing or discussing a research paper or study that focuses on analyzing the sodium (Na+) and potassium (K+) content in water samples collected from different seasons and areas within the Kishanghar block. The instrument used for this analysis is a Flame photometer, which is a type of flame emission spectroscopy, a branch of atomic absorption spectroscopy.

The objective seems to understand the spatial distribution of dissolved sodium and potassium cations in both groundwater and surface water sources. The study aims to differentiate between contributions from natural processes and human activities to these cation levels.

The findings suggest that the water samples collected from different seasons (pre-monsoon, during monsoon, and post-monsoon) in the Kishanghar block exhibit concentrations of sodium and potassium ions within safe limits for human consumption. The Water Quality Standards (WQS) values of some samples are reported to be less than 50, some of them more than 50 and two of them have more than 200 indicating that the water is safe for consumption by humans and two samples are not safe for consumptions.
