ABSTRACT
Androgenetic alopecia (AGA), correlated with Khalitya in Ayurveda, is the most common form of progressive hair loss characterized by patterned thinning and follicular miniaturization. The condition arises from a complex interaction of genetic predisposition, hormonal influences, and alterations in the hair growth cycle. Ayurveda describes Khalitya as a disorder involving the vitiation of Pitta Dosha, often associated with Vata and Kapha, leading to impairment of hair roots and progressive hair loss.
