ABSTRACT As modern cloud computing infrastructures are bigger and more diverse, we need to design storage models that increase dependability, latency, energy efficiency, and resource utilization all at the same time. In dynamic, multi-tiered cloud sys- tems, standard fault-tolerance approaches like static replication and canonical erasure coding don’t function effectively since they don’t use predictive analyt- ics or adaptive redundancy methods.
