ABSTRACT
In a developing world perspective, two of the most powerful forces of the 21st century are the globalization of economy and the rise of Information Communication Technologies. Nowadays, technological advancement is a part and parcel of the educative processes. Human beings are intelligently gifted to come up with these latest and trending software, applications, and devices used in various fields. In the field of education, there are several applications used that facilitate the operation of the school as a system. Growth of Technological based learning brought in rapid changes in various fields. It had also made entry into school education because of its appropriateness, applicability and versatility in use for classroom teaching. It is well recognized that Technological based learning has great potential for improving the teaching learning process. It facilitates individualized learning and develops problem solving skills. Its interactive nature motivates students to learn. Educationists and teachers believe that with the help of Technological based learning quality of education given to the students can be significantly improved. Technology and multimedia change the thinking pattern which leads to a devastating change from practice of memorizing to a problem solving area. The word technology is derived from Greek word ‘techno’ means art or skill and ‘login’ means science or study. Technology opens up new world to gather knowledge and to manipulate our knowledge as our need. This paper has thrown light on ICT based Instructional Materials in the era of digital Communication with respect to several research work.
