Application of Machine Learning for Detection of Cyber Attacks in Network

ABSTRACT In the evolving landscape of cybersecurity, the detection of cyberattacks within network environments has become increasingly critical due to the growing sophistication and frequency of threats. Traditional security measures often fall short in identifying complex and emerging attack vectors. This project focuses on the application of machine learning techniques for enhancing network security through the detection of cyber attacks. I investigate various Machine Learning algorithms, such as Support Vector Machines (SVM), decision trees, Neural Networks (MLP Classifier), Random Forest, Logistic Regression, and Linear Support Vector Classifier (Linear SVC).
