ABSTRACT Ensuring the safety and efficiency of power systems depends on effectiveness of electrical fault detection. Conventional methods often rely on predefined rules and basic signal processing, which may not address all the complexities of modern electrical networks. Artificial intelligence (AI) offers a revolutionary alternative, utilizing advanced machine learning, neural networks, and data analytics to enhance fault detection capabilities. This study investigates the use of AI in electrical fault detection, highlighting its ability to integrate real-time monitoring and predictive analytics. AI models excel in recognizing subtle fault patterns and predicting potential failures, thereby reducing downtime and mitigating risks. The results showcase a significant leap in the speed, accuracy, and adaptability of fault detection systems, enabling the development of more intelligent and robust energy infrastructures.
