Automatic Face Recognition and Detection Attendance Using Wife Camera with Energy Saving Power System

ABSTRACT

Face Recognition and Detection with energy saving system is the most effective and productive image processing application and also plays a vital role in technical field. Human face detection and recognition is an ongoing issue for authentication process specifically for student attendance system. Attendance system can be achieved by using face biostatistics based on high defined monitoring system and other computer technologies. This concept is mainly developed to make our environment digitalize and get rid of traditional way of taking attendance and maintaining the attendance record and also to solve the problem of forgetfulness in turn off electrical appliances like light, fan etc.… The misremembrance and traditional way of taking attendance may lead to loss of energy and time. The previously created automatic attendance system using biometric, RFID etc.… has some unavoidable deficiency. In this paper, we have created the project to tackle all the deficiency that I have mentioned above.  Automatically recognize and detect student face for attendance using camera module and turn on/off light by the concept of person count with IR sensor using Arduino uno. Here camera module recognize and detect the student which were pre-trained in the memory. The camera uses matlab program for recognition and detection purpose. The matlab and arduino is interfaced with esp8266 module. For power saving, we have used the concept of person count that is counting the number of people entering and leaving the room using IR sensor. By this we have achieved that taking attendance in a classroom without time consumption and low manual and maintenance works with energy saving system. This project developed is cost efficient and need less maintenance and installation
