Automatic Fire Detecting and Extinguishing Rescue Robot

ABSTRACT This project details the design and development of an advanced autonomous fire extinguisher and rescue robot that utilizes the Raspberry Pi 4B as its microcontroller. The robot employs IoT and AI/ML-powered camera systems for real-time fire detection, suppression, and rescue operations. Equipped with various sensors, including smoke and fire detectors, the robot autonomously identifies fire hazards. Upon detection, it navigates towards the fire using ultrasonic and infrared sensors to avoid obstacles and extinguishes the flames with a 9V motor pump and a servo-controlled nozzle system. A standout feature of this robot is its rescue capability, where the AI-driven camera system identifies individuals trapped in fire and aids in their evacuation. Integration with building security systems allows for long-range detection in smoky environments, making it suitable for smart homes, warehouses, and industrial spaces. The IoT functionality facilitates remote monitoring and alert transmission, ensuring timely responses. This innovative solution not only modernizes fire safety through autonomous firefighting but also emphasizes rescue operations, significantly reducing human risk in hazardous situations while providing an efficient, scalable approach to fire management.
