Awareness and Attitudes towards Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) Treatment: A Questionnaire-Based Study among Dental Interns in Pune, India

ABSTRACT Aim: This study aims to evaluate the awareness and attitudes of dental interns in Pune, India, regarding the use of Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) in clinical practice, focusing on their knowledge of its applications, benefits, and limitations. Methodology: A cross-sectional, questionnaire-based study was conducted among 386 dental interns from seven dental colleges in Pune. The survey included 28 close-ended questions divided into demographics, awareness, and attitudes. The questionnaire was validated through expert review and pilot testing, with a Cronbach’s alpha score of 0.681. Data were collected via Google Forms and analyzed using statistical software. Ethical approval was obtained, and participation was voluntary and anonymous.
