Challenges Faced By Research Scholars: A Case Study

ABSTRACT The investigation was designed to identify the issues encountered by research academics at various universities. The investigation was conducted qualitatively, using a case study design. The study involved seven Ph.D. (education) scholars selected from different universities selected by purposive sampling. To gather information about different challenges faced by research scholars at different Universities including their academic challenges, organizational problems, societal problems, and economic issues confronting by research scholars at different universities, as well as the different solutions to the problems faced by the Research scholars. Researchers conducted a semi-structured interview to determine students' academic, organizational, societal, and economic concerns. Data were processed using thematic analysis. The study found that research scholars faced a number of challenges, including financial assistance, inadequate interaction between supervisors, hostel facilities, research knowledge, limited analysis skills, insufficient advisor-advise meetings, faculty politics, limited access to online resources, and limited availability of recent books in libraries are some of the challenges faced.
