Clinical Importance of Mutra Pariksha as per Ayurveda

ABSTRACT

Ayurveda the traditional Indian medicinal system. It is a science of life with a holistic approach to health & personalized medicine. It is known to be a complete medical system that comprised physical, psychological, philosophical, ethical and spiritual health.  In Ayurveda there is various types of parikshavidhi (examination) should be done for the diagnosis of disease like Dashvidhpariksha, Asthavidhapariksha, Shadhvidhpariksha, Panchvidhapariksha, Chaturvidhapariksha and Trividhapariksha. Asthavidhpariksha which is firstly  mention by AcharayaYogratnakar . It includenadi, mala, mutra, jivha, drika, sabada, sparsha, akritishould have their own importance for the diagnosis of disease and further management. In this article we describe about  tailbindupariksha  which is  diagnostic tool for the urine examination. This review article gives knowledge aboutayurvedic concept of urine examination by using tail bindupariksha.
