Author Name : Dr Vaibhav Vishnu Shinde, Dr Varsha P jaraje, Dr Rajesh Shah
ABSTRACT Background- One of the five varieties of Pratishyaya is Vataja Pratishyaya, which is a Nasagataroga. It is the most prevalent and bothersome nasal condition that affects people of all ages. The symptoms of Vataja Pratishaya include Nasagata Tanusrava, Kshavathu, and Nasaavarodha. These symptoms are also present in allergic rhinitis, which is caused by inflammation of the nasal mucosa mediated by IgE. Because the treatment methods for Amavastha, Pakwavastha, and Dushta phases differ greatly, extra consideration should be paid to the disease's stages when treating Pratishyaya. Nasya is the most important Shodhana method in Urdhwgatrugata Vyadhies and can execute Uttamanga Shuddhi, Snehana, and Swedana. The continuous sneezing is a main disturbing symptom of allergic rhinitis. shigru Taila was selected for this purpose which is given in Kshavathu Adhikara for managing the allergic conditions of the nose.
