Comparative Analysis of Diagnostic Accuracy of Various Imaging Modalities in Orthopedic Conditions: A Systematic Review

ABSTRACT Background: The accurate diagnosis of orthopedic conditions is crucial for appropriate treatment planning and patient outcomes. Various imaging modalities including plain radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and ultrasound are employed in orthopedic practice, each with distinct advantages and limitations. Objective:To systematically review and compare the diagnostic accuracy of different imaging modalities for common orthopedic conditions including fractures, ligament injuries, cartilage defects, and bone tumors.
