Comparative analysis of Tuberculosis : A Review

ABSTRACT

Tuberculosis (TB) is still one of the world's deadliest infectious diseases, killing millions of people each year. Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) is practically incurable by standard first-line treatment. However, extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis (XDR-TB) is resistant to both first- and second-line drugs due to drug misuse and mismanagement. Therefore, XDR-TB treatment becomes even harder. In this paper, we provide a general overview of tuberculosis (TB), including pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations. This paper was written with the goal of providing compiled information about latest machine learning techniques used by researchers for detection of tuberculosis with a good accuracy and with cheap costs which could be a game changer for developing countries with could not buy expensive medical equipment.
