ABSTRACT Most antibacterials on the market today are either synthetic or semisynthetic derivatives of natural chemicals. All are effective and have a suitable spectrum of action, but none are without side effects. Consequently, a new antibacterial agent that is safer and has the same acceptable efficacy is needed. Mentha arvensis, also known as coriander (Coriander sativum L.), is a vital aromatic, restorative, and medicinal plant. Their market values have increased due to the high demand for fragrant herbs in the culinary, cosmetics, biotechnology, and medical sectors.
