Concept of Sapta Trika and it’s Clinical Application.

ABSTRACT Ayurveda is not merely a compendium of therapeutics based on herbal, mineral and animal resources of medicament but also deals with the philosophy of life and living. In the context of sapta trika Charaka clubbed the materialistic and philosophical aspects of life he opined the attainment of caturvidha purusharthas (Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha ) by utilizing and practicing the sapta Trikas. He explained the concept of punarjanma by means of catur pramanas of Pratyaksha, Anumana, Aptopadesha and yukti in proving the concept of Paralokesana.Except Eshana triya the Sapta Trikas deals with the factors support life, cause of disease, types of disease, types of physicians and therapeutics.
