Concept of Working Hours in Factories Act-1948

INTRODUCTION According to the Factories Act of 1948, no adult (someone who has reached the age of 18) may work more than 48 hours per week and no more than 9 hours per day. The spread over must not be longer than 10-1/2 hours, as stated in Section 51 of the Act. Working hours are simply the hours that a worker or employee is employed. It can happen daily, once a week, or once a month. In the past, the money or wage was the main focus of the job description. But now since the workers also value the quality of their work, the feature of working hours is crucial in determining whether to accept a job offer or not. The Factories Act of 1948 contains various regulations pertaining to it in order to safeguard workers from factory owners who exploit them about working hours
