Consumer Behavior in the Post-Pandemic Era with Reference to India

ABSTRACT The Covid-19 pandemic has completely changed the buying behavior of the consumers due to worst effect on the human life and lifestyle. This study is focused on giving a clear picture on evolving landscape of consumer behavior in India considering the impact of the pandemic of 2019. From on the store shopping now we have come to off the store shopping because of adoption of technology after the pandemic as every humans were asked to stay at home. This change as bought out a varied changes in the markets and it has created opportunity for marketers. Additionally due to unemployment and economic crisis people are more prone towards buying. Before pandemic people were employed with good earnings people used to spend more on luxury but the pandemic of 2019 changed everything as it has lead them in spending cautiously. Further this study gives an analysis that consumer behavior on certain products depends on the employment and their monthly earnings. This study has been conducted based on the available secondary data from various journals and magazines.
