Control of Dust Emission in Cement Industry, Khor, Madhya Pradesh

ABSTRACT

This research present ambient air quality nearby villages of cement industry, Khor, Madhya Pradesh, India.Production of cement include various process like blasting of earth surface, shifting of blasted material, crushing of material in small size, shifting of material from one location to other location through belt conveyor, grinding of material and packing of fine material in bag. All these activities were containing source of dust emission in atmosphere and effect the ambient air quality. To control the dust pollution, presently cement industry used may technology like use of ESP, bag filter, cyclone and water spray system to maintain air quality as per the pollution control board guild line. The paper explains control of dust emission by using dust control technology and effect of emission nearby village of Khor. With the help of dust monitoring system sample was taken from nearby villages and result of sampling was compare with the air quality standard as per CBCP guild line and it was found that, the quality of ambient air was good nearby villages.
