ABSTRACT
The discussion present in this work is about design development and optimization of hydraulic press as a silage making machine based on tool size, shape, no of components. A hydraulic press is a machine using a hydraulic cylinder to generate a compressive force. Frame, hydraulic cylinder and press table are the main components of the hydraulic press. In this project press frame, cylinder and press table are designed by the design procedure. Hydraulic Deep Drawing Presses are widely used for industrial sheet metal forming today. Small manufacturers of drawn parts and suppliers of the automotive industry especially appreciate these machines because of their high flexibility in process design. As wide range in shapes of products manufactured. The frame and cylinder are modeled by using modeling software CATIA. Using the optimum resources possible in designing the hydraulic press components can affect reduction in the cost by optimizing the weight of material utilized for building the structure. An attempt has been made in this direction to reduce the volume of material. The advantages of silage reveal itself how much it is important. Silage can be made under almost all- weather conditions; hence it not only ensures regular supply of fodder to the dairy animals, but ensures uniform quality fodder to animals during different seasons.
