ABSTRACT As there is an increasing trend of disinvestment of Public Sector Undertakings in the country, a vast number of Public Sector Undertakings have been privatized without any consideration of the outcome of the cause. As India follows a mixed pattern of economy, the present Article attempts to study the impact of rapid rate of disinvestment and privatization, whether it is a bane for country like India where there is a huge problem of unemployment and its impact on the economy of the country.
