Author Name : Shreya Mane, Prasannalakshmi Thota2, Yash Deshmukh, Rishab Gupta

ABSTRACT

CD Nozzle plays a vital role for thrust optimization in rocket in order to carry it in outer space. The exhaust velocity flowing out of nozzle represents to be the supersonic flow i.e. Mach number to be greater than 1. This review paper presents the study for the variation of area ratio, nozzle pressure ratio (NPR) with Velocity, Pressure and Mach number with micro-jets as well as without micro-jets inserted out at base region. The area ratio considered out were as- 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and nozzle pressure ratio (NPR) as- 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 for different Mach number. The results obtained also shows the greater impact of resultant forces on area ratio, nozzle pressure ratio and Mach number.
