ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Balance and gait impairment are common after stroke in neurological conditions So this background of this study is to investigate the effects of Kinesiotaping in balance and gait in hemiparetic stroke subjects.
METHOD: A total of 35 subjects were taken, 30 of them met the study criteria. These interventions are held for 8 weeks, 5 days a week for 30 minutes .The assessment was taken at baseline i.e. prior the intervention (pre-test) and at the end of protocol i.e. the post intervention, measures were taken using berg balance scale and ten meters walk test as the outcome measures.
RESULTS: Statistical analysis of the data revealed those treatment groups have shown improvement in balance and gait in post stroke subjects with balance and gait dysfunction.
CONCLUSION: This study concluded that there is a significant difference after Kinesiotaping in improving balance and gait in post stroke subjects.
KEYWORDS: Stroke, Kinesiotaping, Berg balance scale, 10 meters walk test.
