ABSTRACT

Most of the gynaecological disorders come under the heading of Yonivyapad and Artavavyapad in Ayurvedic classics. Raktapradar can be correlated with menorrhagia as per modern science, Menorrhagia is defined as cyclic regular bleeding which is excessive in amount (>80ml) or duration(>7days) or both in modern medicine hormonal imbalances hence it is necessary to have an integrated and comprehensive therapeutic intervention. Multiple causative factorsmay be responsible for the samprapti of raktapradar.The dravya padmak is not only pacifieces tridoshas but also does prinana and bruhan.
