Emerging E-Monetisation In India – Cashless Economy (2016 – 2021)

ABSTRACT
The study has thrown light on various events of E-monetisation that happened after implementation of demonetisation for the period of 2016 – 2021. The study and the data’s are collected from the RBI bulletin and media report. In the first section of the paper, the history of demonetisation and the black marketeers have been discussed. Emerging E-monetisation in India has been discussed below and created tables for which the information required. Cashless economy (which means use of minimum cash and the rest of the transactions through different electronic modes of transactions) is heavily discussed and the other side we followed the ideas of Arthakranthi Philosophy which was implemented during the period of Demonetisation. In the period of COVID– 19, the cashless economy was highly implemented in India. The study has revealed that the downward impact of COVID-19 on the payment landscape has been profound and significant, yet not irreparable. To conclude, the researchers state that COVID-19 has been a silver lining, in many ways, for acceptability of digital payments in India.
