Employing Asterisk-based IVR System Using Raspberry Pi

ABSTRACT

Communication has become the center of data technology and almost every business and corporation requires a sort of communication to carry a more competitive edge against similar businesses. These organizations invest millions to guard and secure their network infrastructure. The network infrastructure itself consists of equipment and programming that manage the connectivity, communication, operation, and management of a whole network of a business. Designing a successful PBX system can lower the value of a business and reduce the difficulties of communication within a corporation. This technique is going to be supported the VoIP technology and can demonstrate the tools and skills needed to effectively build and implement a working telephony system for a small to a medium business. The IP telephony system is going to be built on a network that will contain a network device such as LAN and WAN. These network devices must be correctly configured to match the specification of the business and ensure excellent performance. This system includes the planning, implementation, and analysis of a working PBX system using Asterisk software under the various platform. Performance analyses are going to be conducted on all the platforms to watch and analyze call traffic, Bandwidth utilization, call quality, hardware utilization, and the maximum number of concurrent calls it supports. The proposed system is focused on how to install Asterisk on a Raspberry Pi.
