ABSTRACT The current study intends to evaluate of library automation software in India. The software helps to manage the entire library operations from maintaining book records to issue a book. In addition, it allows streamlined management of fine details of books such as author name, edition, and many other important details. Library automation refers to the use of the computer to automate the typical procedures of libraries such as cataloguing and circulation. In the process of library automation, a library makes the use of computers and other technologies to support its systems and services. The software helps to manage the entire library operations from maintaining book records to issue a book. In addition, it allows streamlined management of fine details of books such as author name, edition, and many other important details. Here in the current paper various aspects of library automation is discussed.
