ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder, where there will be an increase in blood glucose level in the body ( 126mg/dL). Due to today’s food, food habits and life style diabetes is becoming more and more common, and the uses of synthetic drugs has been increased to treat diabetes but, these synthetic drugs have some unwanted side effects which emphasizes how urgently safe and efficient therapeutic measures are needed. This study examines the possible anti diabetic effects of a polyherbal formulation that includes cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) and fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum). These herbs are well known for their bioactive substances, which include insulin-sensitizing and hypoglycemic properties. The hydroalcoholic extracts of these compounds have taken and the anti diabetic property of individual extracts has been evaluated using yeast glucose reuptake analysis. The values of these compounds have been compared with a standard drug (metformin). Later these compounds are took in different ratio and their combined activity has been tested by performing yeast analysis.
