Evolution of Work Life Balance of Areas Sales Manager of Pharmaceutical Industry a Road Map Analysis

ABSTRACT In today’s scenario pharmaceutical companies are facing lot of challenges because the work life balance of area sales manager are very much disturbed. Work life balance is a term used for prioritizing personal and professional life to lead a calm , stress free working conditions. Life of area sales manager is not a very easy task as they have to work for long working hours and also do field work which has a direct visible impact on their personal life. The major objective is to analyze the challenges and opportunities of area sales manager in pharmaceutical companies. The research work is based on qualitative and exploratory research with the sample size of 100 respondents working in pharma companies. The major findings that was identified was that employees work life balance gets disturbed in the absence of proper HR policies . The study is expected to provide deeper insights on the work life balance of area sales manager and will prove to be beneficial for academia, industry and society.
