Author Name : Anandhu P Vinod, Karthika V, Dr. R Manju

The aim of the study is to extract the cashew nut seed oil and to see its effects on Staphylococcus aureus as the cashew nut and even the bark of the cashew tree was used to treat and get relief from diarrhea and even benefit for skin and body as well. The cashew nuts were extracted by using Soxhlet apparatus method using three different solvents ( Hexane, Methanol, and Ethanol) in this solvent, Hexane showed maximum yield and thus the pure oil is isolated from the solvent by evaporation technique using China Dish and check the anti-microbial effects of the oil on S.aureus and by measuring the zone of inhibition the anti-microbial sensitivity is determined. After the anti-microbial sensitivity test, face cream by using the extracted oil with benefits include smoother skin texture, improve skin complexion, relief from fungal infections etc. Further process for face cream preparation is carried out. The raw materials for the face cream is assembled such as Cashew nut oil, Bee wax (emulsifier), borax (co-emulsifier) etc. and then the product is prepared and packed in an appropriate labelled vessel\box.
